Oh My Goodness: To Die For!

Yummy: check those wonderful French cafe chairs...my favorite is the gunmetal color...too bad we don't have any need for these chairs. You can get them at Pottery Barn, and they WILL sell out fast, as they did last year, before we finally decided we wanted them. Last night I watched "Snakes on a Plane"...and it was good stuff. Ha ha. It was good, shameless fun. So Marcus and I are contemplating how we're going to orchestrate our move into the city: hire movers or do it ourselves. I'd love to just hire someone, but at the same time, in my mind, if we're able to, why not just suck it up and do it ourselves. I guess we have a bit of time to figure it out...

Summertime Weather!

I love it hot. And it's nice and toasty outside. I just finished a seven day work week which was yucky. Marcus made dinner for me and my sisters last night and it was quite the gourmet spectacle. He's a very good cook. I recently blogged about our wonderful recent purchase, the Danish dining table with matching chairs. I also blogged about how we recently reupholstered the chairs. They now look great, but there have been mishaps with the chairs...and I'm afraid these mishaps are all going to add up monetarily. Anyway, it looks like these chairs may be a little unstable and need some carpentry done. So now they're getting shipped back to Dr. Sofa for more work. Augh. I just hope after all this, everything's dandy with these things! I've been trying to keep going with just two months more of this internship to go...it's hard, because I am so unhappy at work. I'm trying to see the end of the tunnel: moving back to NYC, working, having more free time, getting back into shape (I feel so gross these days). I pray these days go fast!

Gramercy...Here We Come!

Well not just yet, in a couple of months. But we're in the midst of getting a lease for a place in Gramercy. I cannot wait. For so many reasons. So tonight I finished up watching a film called "The Return"....messed up! But good. I also watched "The Edge of Heaven"...another good one. Well hopefully for the next few weeks things will be chill at work---I'm on oncology right now, a service I enjoy. Let's hope for the best!

It's Been a While

Wow, it's been a bit of time since my last blog. Well, it's my day off, thank God. I finished watching "Elegy", which was a great movie---I'd recommend it. I also watched "Bobby" today, which follows a group of people's lives right before RFK was assassinated. Good stuff. Marcus and I looked at apartments in Peter Cooper Village, and there's a pretty good chance that's where we're going to be setting up shop this summer. Last night we met up with Terry-a, Steve, and Seren. We ate at a great Indian restaurant called Tiffin Wallah in the Kips Bay area. Would HIGHLY recommend it---great food, very reasonable prices. Today the weather's been a little blah to say the least. I guess I should get some cleaning or laundry done...yuck. But what I dread is tomorrow---my ER shift at the hospital. On a happy note, a very good friend of mine has started her own blog! I'm so excited. I hope she keeps with it...check it out!
