Back to the end of 2008...since I've been all sorts of messed up with my overnight schedule the past few weeks, I haven't kept up with my blogging duties. So I decided to back track for the next couple of blogs or so. But first thing: Happy 2009! I just finished watching "The Dark Knight"...the last Batman movie...great movie in my opinion! Before that I watched a very old Dustin Hoffman movie called "Little Big Man" about the oldest living survivor of Custard's Last Stand. It was actually pretty good! Well last night I was on the overnight emergency shift---New Year's. It was a pretty bad night for a number of reasons. I also worked Christmas Eve overnight, and that night was more forgiving. I got home this morning at 9AM and slept until 6PM tonight, at which time I started doing laundry and watching movies. Marcus is hanging out with friends visiting from Montreal, so it's just me and Gustaf. I'm really tired. I'm really, really tired emotionally since the past week's events at work. I need to recharge and I need to try to take certain things less personally. That's hard for me. So my New Year's Resolution: to believe in myself as an excellent doctor at all times, even when other people can make me feel otherwise...
